Parts of the Midlands were in the pink for the day last month as hardware suppliers Hoppe (UK) and trade fabricator Lister Trade Frames joined in the ‘Wear it Pink’ Breast Cancer Awareness day.

As well as dressing in pink for the day we also ran a cake sale to boost our donation. I must admit the male contingent enjoyed the cake more than their new pink styling’ said Lisa Douras, Marketing Coordinator at Hoppe.

Dean Shelley, one of Listers Order Processors, really got into the spirit of things by shaving his head bald and then painting himself luminous pink. This helped him to raise a lot money and he also won himself a bottle of pink bubbly for being the Pinkest Person on the day. Staff raised over £1100 and had a lot of fun doing it.

With the Breast Cancer Campaign receiving no financial support from the government they rely solely on the efforts, commitment, enthusiasm and hard work of their volunteers and fundraisers, so both Hoppe and Listers events were very much appreciated.
