As part of CIBSE’s international development, president David Hughes, president elect John Armstrong and regional chairman Philip Chan opened the Hong Kong office and introduced our newest member of staff, Rainbow Lai.

Previously the region had been run by enthusiastic volunteers but with more than 2,000 members and a programme extending into mainland China, there is now the opportunity to develop in a more structured and professional way.

The President also presented a CIBSE gold medal to Patrick Yip for his services to the profession and to the Hong Kong Region.
