Holy land: A design for homes on the site of a 14th-century friary in Norwich received planning permission this week.
The site, close to Norwich Castle, is being developed by Countryside Properties. The £10m scheme will include office space and 130 homes, some of them affordable.
The line of the former friary precinct will form the edge of a new public square.
A tower, similar in height to churches in the city, will stand by the entrance to the square. Hudson Architects designed the scheme.
