Hollow Brookes is the QS on a £2m project to build a quality control unit for Queen’s Medical Centre University Hospital NHS Trust, Nottingham.

The project is being delivered by Medicinq, a company established to carry out projects under the NHS Estates ProCure 21 initiative. Medicinq’s shareholders are Bowmer & Kirkland, Geoffrey Osborne, Midas Group and Simons Construction. Work on the Quality Control unit, which will test samples of medicines made by hospital pharmacies and check the premises in which they are made are safe, starts on site later this month.

It is due to be finished in May 2006.
