Engineer will work on Austin Smith Lord bus station in first phase of £174m transport hub
Hilson Moran has won the M&E contract at the first phase of the £174 Wolverhampton Interchange Scheme.
The engineering consultant will work on a two-storey bus station designed by architect Austin Smith Lord.
The next phases will feature a transport hub for trains, trams and buses, and a retail-led mixed-use scheme.
Simon Ramsden, divisional director at Hilson Moran, will lead the project team.
He said: “We are excited about this opportunity to help contribute to the regeneration of the city centre, which will improve transportation infrastructure for the people of Wolverhampton.”
If Wolverhampton City Council approves planning the first phase will begin on site in November 2009.
