Main contractor Osborne is erecting a new building at the London School of Economics.

The contract involves the creation of a 12,600m2 block due to open in Autumn next year. When this picture was taken the project was ready for the installation of eight beams, each weighing 17 tonnes and measuring 18.2 x 1 metres.

A 500-tonne mobile crane was used for their installation.
