Helvar’s Digidim lighting controls were employed in the recently opened White Horse gastro pub in Harpenden, run by celebrity chef Jean-Christophe Novelli.

The system was installed by bespoke integration specialists FAB Audio Visual. It provides touch of a button control for light levels in the dining areas of the Grade II listed premises. The installation was part of a complete refurbishment to the premises, which now feature a 400 m2 extension and the new ‘A touch of Novelli’ dining room. The scheme is based on the Helvar LCD touchpanel that was customised to suit the restaurant’s distinctive style. Helvar’s 16-channel Digidim solutions rack supplies all the main areas. The chief restaurant area is lit by a combination of down lights, spotlights and wall lights while the new system also controls the bar and lounge areas. FAB AV programmed each area with four separate lighting scenes with an option for future additions.
