Newly rebranded housing consultancy Tribal HCH is taking on 20 new staff as it expands into regeneration.

The firm, which changed its name last week from Hacas Chapman Hendy, expects its turnover to increase by up to £3m as a result of the change.

The consultancy will expand to nearly 100 people by April.

Tribal HCH will offer advice on regeneration schemes in the Thames Gateway, on the Northern Way programme and on housing market renewal areas in the North.

It will draw on expertise and resources from its parent company, Tribal Group, which bought Hacas Chapman Hendy for £45m in July 2003 (HT 4 July 2003, page 14). With help from its parent, Tribal HCH aims to win work on education and health schemes emerging from the government’s privately financed Building Schools for the Future project and the NHS LIFT programme, which funds small-scale healthcare schemes such as surgeries.

David Tolson, Tribal HCH’s managing director, said: “Clients come to us for housing expertise but an increasing number want access to a wider knowledge base reflecting broader economic development and regeneration agendas.”
