BBA approval
GU Ferco's new G4 range of Europa security multi-point locks has been awarded (British Board of Agrement) BBA No: 2569 approval.
‘G4 has enhanced the Europa range's specification and quality to ensure it maintains its number one status for years to come,' says GU marketing manager, Ian Ward. ‘BBA approval is one more reason to buy the high quality, high performance products that customers demand.'
G4 products come with the benefit of a written 10 year guarantee against operational failure from the date of installation.
Additionally, in the unlikely event of a problem occurring on site, GU offers a five year parts and labour warranty (subject to conditions of Sold Secure membership).
Morven joins Sold Secure
Meanwhile, Morven Windows of south-west England, has signed up for GU Ferco's Sold Secure scheme.
Family owned and run, Morven Windows operates from a purpose-built showroom, offices and factory in St Austell. The company manufactures, supplies and fits windows and doors for local authority, trade and retail customers.
In November 2005, it became the latest GU distributor to join Sold Secure, the independent non-profit making scheme which covers a broad cross section of security products.
Operated by the Master Locksmiths Association (MLA), Sold Secure is closely associated with the Police and insurers. They share information on the break-in techniques in use by real burglars, using it to replicate an equivalent test within the Sold Secure programme.
Dorluxe benefits too
Joining GU Ferco's Sold Secure initiative has also paid off for stable door manufacturer, Dorluxe Ltd.
Based in Suffolk, Dorluxe offers strong, secure and stylish PVC-U stable doors, using GU Rhinobolts and gearing on all its products.
‘Traditionally stable doors were only available in timber and were once perceived as being insecure and prone to leaks,' explains Dorluxe general manager, Phil Balder.
‘However, the high quality PVC-U doors that we specialise in are extremely secure and totally watertight. Sold Secure helps to reassure the trade and public that they can trust our products to perform in all conditions', he went on.
