Intruder and fire alarm monitoring specialist MyGARD has launched a monitoring service offering installers a bigger proportion of the profits by guaranteeing not only revenue from the installation of alarm hardware, but a yearly maintenance and monitoring fee.
"Through our partnership programme we offer alarm installers the option to generate additional, ongoing revenue from existing customers through our conversion product and monitoring service," said MyGARD CEO John Steel. "At half the cost of the industry standard, installers not only have a great proposition for their customers, but also benefit from a guaranteed yearly profit."
The company's technology converts any bell-only alarm into a monitored system, causing no interference with existing systems. Its conversion product starts at £79.99, with monitoring for 12 months £91.99 for homeowners and £199.99 for business users.
l Installers are also being offered more opportunities for business growth with the appointment of Steve Grundy as business development manager for Gloucester-based Remote Video Response.
As well as working with existing customers, Grundy's task will be to work with installers who are yet to realise the advantages of remote monitoring, and how it can add real value to their business, he says. "There are some installers who have a very limited knowledge of what RVR can do," he said.
"My role is to get the benefits across to them, to help them sell CCTV monitoring to their customers armed with a thorough comprehension of what it can achieve, and in doing so grow their own business .”
