Tender notice calls for pool of firms to work on next wave of new secondary schools programme

The government is seeking a pool of project managers to work on a fresh wave of its Building Schools for the Future programme. The Department for Education and Skills issued a contract notice on the OJEU last week calling for bidders.

The document said the pool of firms would expected to work on between 60-80 individual projects in the next four years. It added that it expected to invite between ten to 20 firms to tender for the contract.

The notice said firms would work on "initial planning, pre-feasability and delivery phases to implemenatation, establishment, introduction and implementation of specific educational deliverables and opening of an academy". Interested parties have until 24 October to put bids in.
