Going underground: Ventilation ductwork specialist Senior Hargreaves has won two contracts with a total value of almost £6 million, on the final phase of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL). The first is a supply and installation contract with CORBER on the St Pancras refurbishment. The second will involve ventilation work on the London and Thames tunnels in a contract with CTRL main contractor, Emcor Rail. This includes the provision of standard and emergency ventilation systems housed in five shafts that link the tunnels to the surface.

The CTRL is due to complete at the beginning of 2007.
