Proven Energy believes its 15 kW wind turbine marks a major advance in renewable power generation.

The Proven 15 is the largest turbine in the range, designed for users with big energy needs who want to offset their carbon emissions.

According to Proven Energy chief executive officer Andrew McMullan, the turbine is capable of meeting the energy needs of six houses, each with three bedrooms, excluding heating. Any excess energy production can be stored or exported to the grid, depending on local regulations.

The product is aimed at commercial applications, including agriculture, telecoms, small industrial units and mini wind farms.
