The Masco Group has announced the appointment of Gary Morton as Managing Director of Duraflex. Commenting on Morton’s appointment, Masco Group Vice President, Wayne Devine said, ‘We approached Gary on a speculative basis some months ago, conscious that he had happily settled into managing his own business interests and charity work. His track record speaks for itself and we are absolutely delighted that Gary has now joined us. His knowledge and experience will strengthen the Duraflex management team.’

Responding, Morton said, ‘Duraflex is an incredible business and Masco has invested many millions into it. I was flattered to be approached and I am looking forward to the challenge of heading one of the UK’s leading systems companies. I believe the current team is very strong and I am sure that together we can push the business to become the number one player in PVC-U systems supply.’

After leading Premier Profiles during its most successful years, Morton spent 10 years as Managing Director of Status Systems before heading up Deceuninck’s UK operation after its acquisition of Status.

After stepping down as CEO he stayed on in a non-executive role before severing connections with Deceuninck in December of last year to concentrate on his own business and charity interests.

Gary is the founder of GM Fundraising, a charity that has raised almost half a million pounds for the children’s hospice movement.
