Beijing’s main Olympic venue, the 91,000-seat National Stadium, has opened ahead of this summer’s games.

M&E design and structural work was by Arup. The stadium, nicknamed the Bird’s Nest because of its exterior, is built to the highest anti-earthquake standards.
