Former BAA construction boss joins T&T to work on the second Dublin airport terminal
Turner & Townsend has appointed a former construction boss at airport client BAA to work on the planned second terminal at Dublin airport.
David Frizell joins the T&T team, programme manager for the £350m scheme that is scheduled to begin in May and due for completion in 2009.
Frizell said work on the Dublin job would act as a stepping-stone for the firm’s growth in Ireland. “We are looking beyond this job. It could be a real catalyst for future work,” he said.
Working for client Dublin Airports Authority, T&T is headed by partner Mike Collings.
During his 18 years at BAA, Frizell was head of construction at Gatwick airport. He also worked on the redevelopment of Seeb airport in Muscat the capital of Middle Eastern state Oman.
Prior to joining T&T Frizell oversaw the first phase of improvement works planned at Stansted airport.
