Visonic will be switching frequency for all of its new wireless alarm systems later this year.
The company's Powermax Plus products and its hybrid Powercode range will move from 433MHz to 868 and 869MHz from August 1.
Managing director Keith Donovan said: "This is part of our strategy to ensure that end users get the best possible use of our wireless alarm products. The switch is good news, as it will improve reliability and functionality.
"In the past there have been some issues with interference on the 433 frequency, which is used for garage door openers and door bells, and the move to a new frequency will eliminate these problems and provide a greater operational reliability."
