Franklin + Andrews is the cost consultant on the £75m Leeds Gateway project, which aims to transform an industrial site.

The scheme, which is due for completion in mid-2008, will replace a city-centre area with 642 flats, a 218-bed hotel, a creche and space for offices, bars and restaurants. Scotfield is the developer and Shepherd Construction is the contractor.

Frankin + Andrews has been involved with the project since its conception in 2003. It has provided early feasibility advice, cost planning, negotiation, procurement and contract services. Its sister firm, Connell Mott MacDonald, is the project’s structural design engineer.
