Oxfordshire based installation company Chris Lewis Security Services has recruited four new apprentices - three engineers and one IT apprentice - from a field of over 40 applicants to its Apprenticeship Programme.

Managing director Chris Lewis said the company "firmly believes that business owners need to sit up and take some responsibility for meeting training needs. We take great pride in the knowledge and capabilities of our talented team - and what better way to retain that quality than by encouraging them to pass their skills on. With our continuous stream of apprentices, I'm satisfied that we're developing a workforce with the skills and values that our company needs for a successful future."

The company's apprenticeship programme includes an integrated programme of vocational training, work-based skill development and appropriate vocational education. The new team members are Kyle Spiers, Aaron Surman, Chris Fujak and Ashley Keenan.

Apprentices from Chris Lewis took part in the 2006 Apprentice Skills challenge at IFSEC. See page 28 for more details of the contest.
