A range of urinals has been launched by Gen Quip that operates without water or the need for waste cartridges, microbial blocks or deoderising tablets.
They operate with a simple water lock and a scented, biodegradable, fully-refined layer of vegetable oil that floats on the top of the urine in the waste trap. The oil forms a liquid seal, preventing odours from being released into the air. As the urine drains through the holes in the stainless steel cover, it passes through the oil and out of the waste pipe.
