Waxman Energy Solutions has developed the Primary Heat underfloor heating system.
Primary is based on heating ribbon technology that uses a crystalline ribbon metal alloy matting. Because the ribbons are very thin and have no mass to store the heat, almost all of the power it uses is converted into heat, claims the company. The Primary Heat mats cover between 25% and 30% of the total floor area, compared to about 2% when using traditional cable underfloor heating systems. This allows the installation to operate at a lower temperature of about 30ºC. Each room is controlled by a thermostat. The system is suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories, living rooms and bedrooms. It can be used under most floor coverings.
