L&G brings in Green Building Council director as new sustainability chief

John Alker was behind David Cameron’s ‘hug a husky’ campaign in 2006

Legal and General has appointed a UK Green Building Council director as its new head of sustainability.

John Alker will take the role at L&G Capital in August and will act as the firm’s strategic sustainability lead, proposing sustainability targets and measuring and communicating the firm’s social impact.
