Velux has launched a solar hot water system. It includes a complete solar array, dual coil solar hot water tank, flexible flow and return pipes, underfelt sealing collars and safety mixer valves.
The solar arrays are 2.5m2 but can be connected to create larger areas. Tanks start at 180 litre capacity, which is suitable for a two or three bedroom house,and go up to 375 litres. The company claims that the system could supply 70% of a home’s hot water demand.
