This week’s sketch is by architect Paul Mitchell

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by architect Paul Mitchell, and shows Villa La Rotonda, which is located just outside Vicenza, Italy. The Renaissance villa was conceived by architect Andrea Palladio. Mitchell says: “He’s credited with the birth of the Renaissance which was to spread across Western Europe and eventually the world in the following centuries. I sketched it in September on a brilliant short holiday to Verona, Vicenza and Venice. All four sides of the villa are identical!”
