This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Dan Cove, director at CoveBurgess Architects. He says: “This is a ‘Vertical Workplace’ concept on Tooley Street near London Bridge. It is our alternative to corporate mega-spaces in the area such as the Shard, and is the contemporary equivalent of the warehouse spaces that have been lost.
”It provides flexible workspaces with ample light and high ceilings where start-ups and smaller businesses can be based. The building is suspended 15m above the street, and is entered via a first-floor concourse which includes cafes, social spaces, meeting rooms and a courtyard, along with parking for bikes with bike ramp to office reception.”
