Sketch of the week: University of Delft

It relates to a study for the Bouwkunde competition which was run as a precursor to a formal competition to design the new faculty of architecture for the University of Delft after the original building, designed by Jaap Bakema in the late 60s, was completely destroyed by a fire. In essence, the competition was held to stimulate ideas rather than give specific answers, creating a building designed as a ‘house for creating architecture’.
