Sketch of the week: The Oaks, Prague

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Alistair Hall, partner at Hall McKnight. He says: “Hall McKnight’s houses at The Oaks project near Prague are proposed as an imagined group of ruin-like, almost archaic, objects found embedded in the site. The base of each house obeys a set of mathematical principles and ideal proportions that extends to inform the elevations and sections. These strategies, imposed by the architects upon their own design process, responds to the absence of immediate context at the outset of the development.”
