Sketch of the week: Starometska office concept sketch

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by architect Ian Bogle, founder of Bogle Architects, and was part of an office project in the Slovakian capital of Bratislava.

Bogle says: “When we were asked to look at the c project we knew it would have to be a sensitive yet contemporary intervention in the historical structure of Bratislava. The townscape has a strong character which immediately suggested to me that we should design a curvilinear appearance to create a counterpoint within the rich city texture. The set-back floors offer great views back towards the castle while respecting street lines and heights.”
