This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Patrick Ward, a director at Haysom Ward Miller Architects. Ward says: “The sketch was for a snooker club in Cambridge. It needed very little natural light and I was experimenting with coloured vitreous glass as a facade covering to enliven an otherwise blank elevation which faced into a car park. The bar opening out onto the roof terrace and the stair tower were the only two places where we could use glass other than the front entrance. This rapid sketch gave the client a good idea about the possibilities before carrying out further work.”
