This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Shashank Jain, senior environmental consultant at ChapmanBDSP, and shows an initial concept for a law court in a planned government complex in India. Jain commented on the project: “This sketch shows environmental strategies working with the architectural design to create a building form that responds to the needs of its users and the demands of the climate both inside and outside the building. The funnel at the top casts a bright spotlight on the ceiling that moves with the sun throughout the day, enhancing the building’s connection to the outside world.”
