Sketch of the week: Gloucester Docks

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by David Roden Architects’ founder David Roden. It is a concept sketch for a 10,000m² headquarters building for an insurance company at Gloucester Docks. Roden says: “Designed to be BREEAM ‘outstanding’, the building was conceived as a series of finger office blocks with courtyards between the blocks and with a circulation spine alongside the road. It also proposed retail and cafe uses fronting the dockside and with a high level terrace restaurant overlooking the waterfront.”
