This week’s sketch is by Joanna Coleman, director of Mustard Architects
This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Joanna Coleman, director of Mustard Architects. It shows the firm’s refurbishment of the Garden Gallery at the Science Museum in south Kensington, London. Commenting on the space intended for three to six-year-olds, Joanna says: “Large green lilypad-shaped acoustic panels hang from the ceiling to improve poor acoustics, blue non-slip flooring and floor drainage channels address problems of falling and flooding. The light, calm colour scheme helps to manage over excitement levels in the children whilst the predominantly dark blue in the light-and-sounds gallery enhance the light exhibits.”
