Sketch of the week: Coombe Wood school, Croydon

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Lee Bennett, partner in Sheppard Robson and head of schools. at the practice. He says: “This is an early concept sketch of the new 1,680-pupil Coombe Wood school in Croydon, showing the building’s tripartite structure.” 

This has since been developed and plans have been submitted to Croydon council for the 12,400m² comprehensive, mixed secondary school.
