This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Meredith Bowles, director at Mole Architects. Mole was one of the five firms invited to submit proposals to Churchill College, Cambridge, for a new £3.5m building on its campus. Bowles says: “Churchill College has great post-war buildings by Sheppard Robson. Near to the site for the new building, the Sheppard flats have an intricate tessellated plan. This sketch scheme with a serrated facade creates a formal relationship to the Sheppard flats as well as taking advantage of the views to the south.”
