Sketch of the week: Birmingham New Street

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by artist Wayne Attwood. He has been chronicling the Birmingham New Street train station redevelopment project at the invitation of delivery partner Mace, and will be exhibiting his work at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists’ galleries once the project completes. This sketch comes after the atrium demolition completed - the team took out two floors of concrete to create space for the new concourse. Before the project began, this area housed the old concourse, and two floors of the Pallasades shopping centre.
