Building membranes specialist Icopal has extended its range of singly-ply waterproofing solutions with the launch of its Monarplan PVCu system for new-build and refurbished roofs

Monarplan, which can be installed on most commonly-used deck types and substrates, uses a non-wick polyester reinforcement that prevents leaks by capillary action. Icopal says it is resistant to weathering, chemical oxidisation, ultraviolet degradation, fire and rot.

Overlapping sheets can be welded together to form a homogeneous lap by using hot air equipment. The range includes an anti-skid walkway membrane; accessories include pre-moulded corners, pipe boots, conductor pads, tapes, sealants and insulation.
