Knauf Drywall has launched the MPFinish, a spray on plaster.
It is specially formulated for machine application and the company claims that it cuts plastering time by more than half as workers don’t need to mix and lift the plaster onto walls and ceilings. It can be plastered without scaffolding and stilts. A 25kg bag of plaster can cover 16-18m2 with a 2-3mm thickness and can be applied at a rate of 1m2 every 11 seconds on vertical and horizontal surfaces. Knauf says a three-man team can complete 220m2 per day – about twice that of conventional hand plastering.
