More than 5,000 lighting fittings from Zumtobel have been used on the Colmore Plaza office development in Birmingham

Both recessed and surface-mounted versions of the company’s Mellow Light IV Gridlens were used to help meet the CIBSE SLL Code for Lighting – LG7 – and Building Regulation requirements for energy consumption.

Mellow Light IV benefits from lower energy consumption and a higher light output ratio, claims the company. It uses a microprismatic optic with an innovative cross pattern to boost the luminaire’s light output ratio, while ensuring glare control for a wide range of application areas.
