Polycarbonate sheet products maker Brett Martin has launched a modular rooflight called Mardome Glass.

Made from toughened glass, the rooflight’s completely flat double glazing is intended to give an undistorted view of the sky and good sound insulation. Any glazing can be used, including solar control and an argon-filled glass unit that gives a U-value of 1.1W/m2K. The aluminium top frame and PVCu sub-frame conceal security fixings, while installation is simplified by a hinging system that allows the product to be supplied as a fixed or opening unit. It is available in three standard sizes up to 1250 × 1250mm.
