The KS 1000 Optimo facade system from insulated metal panel specialist Kingspan was specified at Shire House, a £3m office development in Bradford.
The Optimo system, described by the company as uniquely flat, was used for the metal cladding on the upper floors of the predominantly glass building. An unusual aspect of the job was the 24m high, 6m wide sail-like structure adjacent to the front entrance, which terminated in a pinnacle feature. On this feature, the panels were laid vertically on a curved steel support structure.
