Telling Lime Products and Pittsburgh Corning have collaborated to produce an insulated render system.
The system combines a Foamglas insulation slab with Unilit natural hydraulic lime render. When bonded to a stable substrate and rendered, the system performs like a thermal masonry unit with good impact resistance and sound resonance properties. The company claims that the system is environment-friendly as the dense cellular glass slab is made from 66% recycled glass and the lime manufacturing process is carbon neutral.
The system comes in 12 colours and textures, and the finishes are traditional in appearance with stucco effects and authentic render features.
