In central St Petersburg, artist Ulyana Poloz has been reproducing sections of famous masterpieces on the broken walls of old buildings. Visitors to the Russian city who wish to see more complete versions of historic paintings can visit the State Hermitage Museum, in the Tsars’ former Winter Palace. Its 3 million artworks include ones by Michelangelo, Rubens, Rembrandt, Picasso and Matisse
