Potterton Commercial has launched the GaeaTherm ground-source heat pump which it says can help reduce the carbon footprint of commercial buildings.
The heat pump has an output of 21.3kW and a coefficient of performance of 4.7, which means that for every unit of electricity used, it produces 4.7 units of heat energy. It has an operating noise level of 33dB(A) at a distance of 1m and can be installed in multiple unit cascade configuration. The product’s controls are based on those of the Paramount Two and Eurocondense Two condensing boilers, which means it can be supplied along with these boilers and that the technologies can work in conjunction.
