Fed up with eager young pups at work who don’t know they’re born? Or had enough of hearing how it was back in the old days?

Email us with what’s bugging you about the other generations …

People under 30 just don’t understand the downturn because they’ve never experienced one. If you’re over 30 you might have seen one recession and if you’re over 40 you will have seen two. It nobody’s fault but it does create a divide, and it’s down to the older generations to let younger people know that the rules have changed.

For example, if you were a surveyor looking to get professionally qualified, before, you could have demanded that your employer give you the required experienced as fast as possible. Now, the employer might turn around and say, “Sorry, but it’s going to take a bit longer, and you’ll have to grin and bear it.”

The same goes for people wanting to change jobs. They would have been getting calls from recruitment agencies on a daily basis before but now it’s down to them to call the agencies, and they’ll be getting a very different response when they do.”
