Pland Stainless, a manufacturer of stainless steel washroom products, has launched the Piedmont foot trough for environments such as hospitals and leisure centres where high levels of foot hygiene are required

The 600mm x 600mm x 1,000mm foot wash is available as a free-standing or wall-mounted unit. It has divided washing areas and an ergonomically designed raised foot plate above the drainage channel. It is supplied with a support structure, 38mm chromium-plated end waste and tap holes. A model with integral seats is also available. Pland claims that stainless steel has many properties that make it suitable for washroom applications, including its ease of cleaning, resistance to corrosion and its neutral surface which makes it difficult for bacteria to adhere and survive.
