Cooper Lighting has expanded its Safe Edge range of exit signs, adding two models that incorporate LED light sources to increase energy efficiency
The company says the LEDs have a working life of up to 50,000 hours, making the models suitable for applications where exit signs need to be illuminated for long periods. Fluorescent equivalents would typically require lamp changes every 6,000 hours, claims Cooper. The sign has a clear acrylic legend panel that rotates through 90°, enabling one standard product to be mounted on walls and ceilings. It is available with a white or silver finish. The range comprises a slave version for use with static inverter systems and a self-contained version. The fittings can be specified in either BS5499 format or European Signs Directive format.
