The Glass Wall Company has launched Chromatics, which it claims to be the world’s first cuttable, totally opaque, coloured glass cladding panel

The panel is made up of a laminate of glass, a sheet of colour and metal – not a toughened glass – and as such has a greater resistance to thermal fracture than float glass, according to the company.

Developed in conjunction with Pilkington, Chromatics is suitable for exterior and interior applications and can be used in monolithic panels, double-glazed units, or rainscreen systems. Any size of digital imagery, textural look, branding or corporate colour requirements can be reproduced. The manufacturing process does not cause roller wave distortion, pinholes or pigment and transparency variation. The panels are shatterproof and resistant to extreme point impact making it suitable for external building applications.
