Eurocell
Over 2011 Eurocell cemented its reputation as a leading manufacturer of sustainable building products continuing a record of 10 years of consecutive growth. With a £3m investment in a PVC-U recycling facility in Derbyshire, the firm now has the capacity to process up to 12,000 end-of-life PVC-U window frames per week. This, the largest such facility in the UK, allows the firm to use recycled material to manufacture energy efficient window products. The firm also established a collection and depositing service for PVC-U window frames, diverting the material from landfill. The judges were unanimous in awarding Eurocell manufacturer of the year, praising the firm as setting “an example for others to follow”.
