The Alumet Group
One of the most respected specialist contractors in the UK, the Alumet Group has secured its reputation as one of the leading providers of sustainable facades and has excelled in completing a wide range of projects with low carbon technologies at the forefront. Last year the firm developed its own BritSol mounting system for solar panels, which caters for both the commercial and domestic markets. The firm offers facade refurbishments to old buildings, removing the need to demolish and rebuild, and recently completed a £3.5m project for Lovell Partnerships in Sheffield, which involved the refurbishment of a post-war apartment block. The judges particularly praised the contractor’s “strong vision” and “excellent training schemes”.
