Hanson has launched the Structherm Fastbrick, an a insulated real brick slip cladding system that aims to combine the advantages of modern construction techniques with the appeal of traditional brickwork
The system is being targeted at the social housing external refurbishment market and in particular the ground floors of high-rise properties and low rise solid wall properties because of its durable, decorative and thermal insulating finish.
Fastbrick comprises a rigid phenolic insulation panel that Structherm pre-bonds to a brickwork co-ordinating carrier sheet. The composite panel is then fixed to the substructure on site, and brick slips are fixed to the carrier sheet using a purpose made adhesive. A specialist pointing mortar completes the installation.
Fastbrick is designed to complement Structherms existing range of refurbishment systems, which includes external wall insulation and cladding products.
